The device allows for remote data access from a tachograph and the drivers’ cards in the tachograph’s slots (via Internet).
Thanks to the TachoReader technology the driver does not need to return to the company’s headquarters and no external devices are required to access the tachograph data.
The device needs to be connected to the C and D connectors at the back of the tachograph and thus remains out of sight at all times.
Remote data access does not require any driver’s action and can be performed both with the engine running and 48h after the engine switch-off. The remote data access does not require the company card insertion into the tachograph.
Access authorisation is also done remotely with the help of a card reader connected directly to the user’s computer in the company’s headquarters or any other location with Internet connection and a suitable web application.
The device is fully compatible with the AVL vehicle tracking systems that provide connection between the company’s chip-card reader and the TachoReader in the vehicle.
Collected data is stored in the servers under the DDD file extension that can be easily accessed at any time by authorised personnel in the customer’s company.
The device is compatible with all brands of tachographs presently available on the market with CAN data bus from the following manufacturers:
